Rafah (Gaza), July 28, 2023 – Two young people, Bassam Ahmed Al-Darbi (18) and Hadi Ahmed Kassab (23), from the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in the city of Rafah, in the southern Strip Gaza, drowned in the sea off Rafah beach.
We do not know the real motivations that pushed the two young men to want to leave Gaza under blockade for more than 17 years. But we know that this blockade kills and it would be justice if it were lifted. What is agreed to call the “International Community” does nothing. Quite the contrary, it is an accomplice of the occupier and colonizer of Palestine.
